J. Brooks Aberg, DPT, OCS

Brooks first moved to the Treasure Valley in 1975. He received his undergraduate degree locally at Boise State University (summa cum laude), and then pursued graduate work at Pacific University in Oregon where he earned both his Master's and Doctoral degrees in Physical Therapy (summa cum laude).
His primary area of specialty is in general orthopedics (peripheral joints and spine). He has special interests in shoulder rehabilitation, foot mechanics, and sports medicine. He is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS), and is working toward credentialing with the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT).
Brooks' personal interests encompass much of the "Idaho Experience", including camping, mountain biking, running, backpacking, and so on. He shares many of these interests with his wife and two sons. He is also a certified interscholastic coach in tennis, volleyball, and basketball.
Bret A. Bastian, DPT

Bret is a Boise native and attended high school at Boise High School. He graduated college in 2004 with a Bachelor's of Science (Biology/Pre-med) from Albertson College of Idaho (College of Idaho) and played soccer there for two years. Due to injuries he became a patient at Foothills Physical Therapy where he was inspired to pursue a career in physical therapy. Bret earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Maryland School of Medicine, class of 2010.
Bret also has a National D license from the United States Youth Soccer Association and coaches locally for the Boise Nationals Soccer Club. He enjoys working with all types of orthopedic patients and empathizes and motivates based on his own personal experiences with injuries, surgeries and rehab.
Bret enjoys an active Idaho lifestyle, enjoying the outdoors, water sports, snow sports, playing/coaching soccer and watching BSU win. GO BRONCOS!!
Kathy M. Berg, DPT, MS, CSCS

Kathy earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Vermont in 2010. She has a Master of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Studies from Boise State University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Human Performance from the University of Montana. She joins the Foothills Physical Therapy practice with several years of research in the areas of exercise adherence/psychology & biomechanics. Prior to attending physical therapy school, Kathy enjoyed over 5 years as an academic fitness program administrator/developer and educator of fitness professionals.
Kathy has nearly 15 years of experience working with individuals and their health. She is passionate about the healing & transforming abilities of education, therapy, movement, and patient empowerment. Kathy currently specializes in exercise prescription for complex health conditions, special populations, & athletes and is pursuing advanced therapist training in the areas of manual therapy, orthopaedics, lymphatics, and aquatic therapy. She uses a client centered approach to elicit functional gain and pain reduction based on her client's specific needs & goals.
When Kathy is not at Foothills, she enjoys being lazy and enjoying good food (as does her dog, Remi!). She also loves being outside: exploring, hiking, yoga, running, cycling, & boating. She is excited about returning to the great Northwest and the Boise community.
Frank Culbertson, PT

Frank is a native of Montana, and was born and raised in Great Falls. He graduated from the University of Montana with a degree in Fine Arts and returned there to obtain his Physical Therapy degree.
Frank has been practicing PT in the Treasure Valley since 1993. He has worked in a number of settings, from acute care to outpatient Physical Therapy, with a focus on orthopedics. Frank helped to co-found Foothills Physical Therapy in 2003.
Along with his wife Donna and daughter Alexa, who is now 7, he has continued to take advantage of living in the beautiful state of Idaho. The region around Boise suits Frank well and he looks forward to continuing to live here and serve the public through the Foothills one-on-one patient care model.
Teresa DeBlieck, MPT, MS

Teresa is a native of Boise and received her undergraduate degree from Boise State University. She then attended the University of Wyoming and received a Master's Degree in Exercise Physiology. Following this she moved to Los Angeles and attended Mount Saint Mary's College and received a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy.
Her primary area of specialty is orthopedics with special interests in foot/ankle injuries, shoulder and spine rehabilitation. She has worked in the valley for 12 years and has over 6 years of experience managing Physical Therapy clinics.
Teresa's personal interests include running, swimming, biking and spending quality time with her dogs Mukwa and Sammie.
Jim Hammer, DPT, OCS

Jim was born and raised in Boise. He received his bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology from Boise State University in 2005. Jim then went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University in 2008 graduating magna cum laude.
Since graduation, Jim has returned to Boise where he has continued to gain experience in the outpatient orthopedic setting as well as clinic management. He is always looking to improve his skill and knowledge base. He is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and is currently working on his NAIOMT (North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy) certification. He enjoys working with patients of all ages and abilities and is particularly interested in the physiology of exercise and injury.
Jim spends his free time mountain biking, camping, backpacking, and running with his wife Carly and their dog Rylie. He also enjoys golfing, working out, and participating in local running events. He is a big fan of local sports, especially Bronco Football, and is a diehard Cubs fan.
Jerret Hopstad, MPT, OCS

Jerret was born and raised in Northeastern Montana and then attended the University of North Dakota for both of his undergraduate and graduate training in Physical Therapy. He graduated summa cum laude from UND with a Master's degree in Physical Therapy in 1998.
Since graduation, Jerret has resided here in Boise where has been practicing Physical Therapy in multiple outpatient/orthopaedic settings. He specializes in treating orthopaedic and sports-related injuries as well as spine injuries and dysfunctions. Jerret has continued his education studying advanced techniques in orthopaedic and manual therapy and is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist, OCS. He also has five years of experience managing a local physical therapy clinic and is currently Vice President/Co-owner of Foothills Physical Therapy.
Jerret's personal interests include a balance between spending time with his family (wife, Kammi, and daughters Lilly and Lucy) and outdoor recreation, and preferably both. His recreational passions include downhill skiing, water skiing, mountain biking, trail running, softball, whitewater rafting, camping/backpacking and anything else Idaho's outdoors can throw at him.

Pam was born and raised in Ohio and moved to Boise in 2004, after spending eleven years in Chicago. She received her bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine with a concentration in Athletic Training from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio. She then went on to receive her Master’s of Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago.
Pam has specialized in treating patients with orthopedic and sports-related injuries for almost 15 years. She has previously managed two different clinics, including a large orthopedic and sports medicine clinic in the Chicago western suburbs, and is the past head athletic trainer for Timothy Christian High School in Elmhurst, Illinois. She has special interest in treatment of the knee, shoulder, and hip, and is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS).
Pam’s personal interests include spending time with her husband and two year old daughter; volleyball, skiing, hiking, and anything in the Idaho outdoors.
Debbie Marquez, MPT, MS

Debbie was raised in Wisconsin and first moved to Boise in 1991. She quickly fell in love with Idaho and went on to receive her Master of Science Degree in Exercise and Sport Science at Boise State University. She then earned another Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy at Idaho State University.
Debbie has specialized in treating patients with orthopedic and spine problems for eleven years, and developed and led a Women’s Health program for eight of those years. She has received advanced training in manual therapy through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy (NAIOMT) which further enhances her skill in treating orthopedic, spine and women’s issues. Debbie also brings with her four years of experience managing a large orthopedic outpatient therapy clinic.
Her personal interests include numerous outdoor activities such as running, mountain biking, backpacking, rock climbing and hiking. These activities are further enriched when shared with her husband, Jeff Marquez, and their two yellow labs, Fischer and Kastle.
Brian O'Neal DPT, OCS, ATC

Brian is a native of Galveston, Texas who was first introduced to Boise by way of a football scholarship to Boise State University. In 2003 he completed his undergraduate education and received his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training, becoming the first BSU football athlete to complete this Sports Medicine curriculum.
Brian became certified as an Athletic Trainer (ATC) and was hired as an intern Athletic Trainer for both the N.Y. Giants (preseason) and Washington Redskins (regular season) in 2003. In 2005 Brian enrolled at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences and earned his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Brian’s areas of specialty are orthopedic and sports injury prevention and rehabilitation, and he is a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). He brings his competitive and perfectionist attitude to the clinic, motivating patients to reach or exceed their highest potential.
Brian enjoys working out, watching football (GO BRONCOS), and is interested in experiencing more that Boise has to offer.
Linda M. Owen BScPT, COMT, FCAMPT

Linda graduated from the University of Alberta with a degree in Physical Therapy in 1981. She practiced as an orthopedic manual physical therapist for over 15 years in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. During this time, she attained her Intermediate Level certification in manual physical therapy, while training with international field leaders through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. After moving with her family to the Boise area in 1999, she was certified at the Advanced Level in manual physical therapy through the North American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT), and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual Physical Therapists. Linda's additional practice areas include vestibular rehabilitation with certification through Emory University and the American Physical Therapy Association.
Today, Linda has practiced in the Treasure Valley for over 10 years. She is well known for her areas of specialty include the manual treatment of the spine and extremity joints, biomechanical evaluation, and the treatment of instability.
Linda has two children, both in college. With her new found free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, playing piano, cooking, cycling, and yoga.
Nick Woods, MSPT, OCS, COMT, FAAOMPT

Nick was born and raised in Boise. He attended college at Albertson College of Idaho, graduating summa cum laude in Zoology ("pre-med") in 1996. He earned his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Duke University in 1998. Nick is currently completing his doctorate of physical therapy at Pacific University.
Nick specializes in treating patients with orthopedic dysfunction (spinal and limbs) with manual therapy and prescriptive exercise to correct faulty movement patterns. He is one of three PTs in Idaho to complete certification with NAIOMT as a Certified Orthopaedic Manual Therapists (COMT) and become a Fellow with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT). Nick is also a board certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS). He developed and ran the state's largest outpatient spine program.
Nick enjoys taking an active role as educator of fellow therapists, patients and the community. He is a dedicated family man, with one son and one daughter. He spends his free time with his children, backpacking and watching Duke basketball.

Heidi is a native to the canyons of the hill country above the Mojave Desert in California. She first came to Boise in 1994 for some backpacking and never went back.
Heidi is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and a Certified Massage Therapist (CMT). She graduated from the California College of the Natural Healing Arts in Santa Cruz, California in 1982 with a A.A. in Alternative Health Education and Counseling and Certification as a Massage Therapist. She then attended Boise State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude as a LPN in 1998.
After graduating from BSU she went to work at the Boise V.A. Hospital in the Telemetry and Critical Care Unit. She then moved on to Idaho Elks Rehab Hospital working on Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Team. While starting a family, she worked with Capital City Family Medicine and Urgent Care in Boise.
While Heidi loves nursing, her true professional passion is Massage therapy. Combining her nursing knowledge and strong foundation in structural massage, Heidi came to find her "dream job" at Foothills Physical Therapy in 2005.
Heidi enjoys sharing her love for the out of doors, photography, skiing/snowboarding, white water boating and camping with her six year old daughter and friends. In her her free time you can find Heidi putting time in at a local organic community garden, writing or on a yoga mat.
Joanne (Jo) Station, LMT

A Boise resident since 1996, Jo considers Idaho her favorite all-around place to live so far...having grown up in the Midwest and spent time in Hawaii and Southern California.
Jo became a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) in 2009 after graduating from Three Oaks Academy of Integrated Therapies and Healing Arts here in Boise. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism in 1983, graduating Magna Cum Laude from the University of Nebraska, Omaha.
Jo's love of learning and new experiences have seen her through several careers prior to discovering her passion for therapeutic bodywork. She has worked in the fields of publishing, interior design, corporate communication and merchandising and continues to do freelance writing. She also maintains a private practice in therapeutic massage in downtown Boise.
Jo enjoys continually exploring new thoughts, reading, writing, music and being part of her 16-year-old son's growth into adulthood. She practices yoga, loves nature and believes strongly in a mind/body/spirit approach to healing.
Susan Stockton, CMT

Susan was born and raised in Texas, and moved further west as soon as she could. She graduated from North Texas School of Massage and went on to extensive continuing studies in Neuromuscular Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Myofacscial Release, Lymphatic Drainage and Visceral Manipulation.
Susan is nationally certified in manual therapy (NCTMB) and is a Certified Neuromuscular Therapist (CNMT). She has built private practices and collaborates with other healthcare professionals in Texas, Florida and Idaho, also serving as an instructor/ faculty member in both manual therapy schools and continuing education seminars.
Susan enjoys her work very much, and does a lot of it. She loves teaching and learning, being outside (especially in the sun!), Aikido, hiking, backpacking, writing, painting, cooking and spending time with friends and family.
